Rights and licensing

Effective September 2, 2026

The English version of this document is the controlling version. Translations are provided for convenience and are reviewed, not machine-generated.

1. Your project

The project owner holds the rights to the project's original material subject to the licences of included contributions and third-party assets. Ownership does not transfer through funding, collaboration, visibility, or alternate-timeline creation. Ownership transfer, if ever offered, is a dedicated audited workflow.

2. Accepted-contribution licence

When a contribution is marked accepted through the project's authorized workflow, the contributor retains copyright and grants the project owner a worldwide, perpetual, irrevocable (except where law requires otherwise), royalty-free (unless a separate written compensation agreement applies), transferable-with-the-project, and sublicensable-as-needed licence to edit, translate, adapt, combine, transform with AI assistance, generate derivatives from, display, perform, distribute, market, monetize, merchandise, archive, and technically migrate the contribution as part of the project.

The licence activates only on acceptance. Submission, review, or rejection grants only temporary rights for review, moderation, security, and dispute evidence during the disclosed retention period. The licence survives the contributor leaving or losing access, and later edits preserve promised attribution and lineage.

The contributor may reuse their contribution elsewhere unless a separate written exclusivity agreement applies. Project-confidential information and third-party assets remain restricted. Where moral rights apply, the contributor consents to modifications consistent with the project's purpose and waives them to the extent lawful and appropriate.

3. Platform licence

Minna receives a separate, appropriately scoped licence to host, process, moderate, stream, back up, and operate the Service. Hosting does not make Minna the copyright owner.

4. Alternate timelines

An owner may allow alternate timelines under no licence (disabled), a noncommercial licence, or a commercial licence, and may select eligible divergence points and which world, character, reference, and media assets may continue beyond them. Inherited material before the divergence point is read-only ancestry with a visible attribution link; it is not duplicated as a new master owned by the alternate creator.

The alternate creator owns the new material created after the divergence point, subject to the inherited licences. Alternate timelines never reconnect automatically. Canon adoption or convergence requires separate affirmative approvals from both owners for the exact material and versions, and creates a scoped canon-integration licence while the alternate creator retains copyright and attribution. Granted alternate-timeline rights are not revoked retroactively except where legally required.

5. Supporter recognition

Supporters may be shown with their amount, with name only, or anonymously. Public anonymity never removes fraud, refund, sanctions, tax, perk-eligibility, or audit records. Perks are defined within platform templates and never imply equity, profit participation, or ownership.

6. Previews, clips, and share links

Showcase pages and social clips reference only reviewed, immutable media versions and never grant access to private source assets. Only owners and explicitly authorized publishers may create downloadable derivatives. Social exports must respect music, voice, and reference licences and preserve provenance.

7. Voice and likeness

A cloned or designed voice cannot be synthesized for a project without an active scoped rights and consent record and an approved provider binding. Consent records store allowed projects, characters, uses, languages, territories, term, edit and derivative permission, sublicensing, provider data terms, compensation, credit, and revocation treatment. Stock and wholly designed synthetic voices must not be presented as or intentionally approximate an unconsenting real person.

8. Music

Generated music is produced only through official provider APIs under their commercial terms. Songs, cues, stems, lyrics, and mixes are separate versioned assets with recorded rights terms. Imitating a named living artist or cloning a singer without authorization is prohibited.

9. Official masters

Only an authorized owner export session may retrieve source-quality assets or the capability required for an official master. Minna does not guarantee that a stream can never be captured by a viewer.

10. Complaints

Copyright, trademark, likeness, and voice complaints are handled through the report control or by writing to rights@minnanoanime.com with the work, the claimed rights, and evidence. We preserve evidence, act on valid complaints, and provide a counter-notice path where applicable.
