Privacy policy

1. Scope

This policy explains how Minna no Anime collects, uses, discloses, and protects personal data when you use the Service. We comply with Singapore's Personal Data Protection Act (PDPA) and, where applicable, the data-protection laws of your place of residence.

2. What we collect

Account data: email, handle, display name, password hash, locale, and verification state. Profile data you choose to share: bio, avatar, banner, location at your chosen precision, pronouns, languages, roles, links, availability.

Project and content data: production bibles, stories, prompts, references, uploads, generated media, timelines, publications, comments, ratings, reviews, proposals, votes, and messages.

Transaction data: credit purchases, ledger entries, reservations, contributions, payment status, and fraud-screening signals from our payment provider. We do not store full card numbers.

Technical data: IP address, device and browser information, session identifiers, timestamps, error reports, and performance metrics. Audit logs record security-relevant actions.

Voice and likeness data: only when you explicitly initiate a consent flow. Source recordings are encrypted and access-restricted.

3. Why we use it

To provide and secure the Service; to process payments and maintain the credit ledger; to run generation with providers at your direction; to moderate content and enforce rules; to communicate with you about your account, transactions, and safety; to measure and improve the Service; and to comply with legal obligations. We do not sell personal data.

4. Generation providers and processors

When you run a generation, the prompt, references, and parameters you approve are sent to the selected first-party provider (for example MiniMax, BytePlus, Alibaba Cloud, OpenAI, Google, ElevenLabs, or Fish Audio) under our agreement with them. Media is stored with our object-storage provider, data with our managed database provider, email with our email provider, and payments with our payment provider. Providers may be located outside Singapore; we transfer data only under legally supported arrangements.

5. Public information

Your handle, display name, avatar, and any profile fields you make public are visible to others. Published projects, showcase pages, comments, reviews, and supporter recognition are public according to your settings. Real name, precise location, email, payout identity, private memberships, drafts, voice data, and financial information are never public by default.

6. Cookies

We use strictly necessary cookies for sessions, security, CSRF protection, and your language preference. We do not use third-party advertising cookies on the studio or marketing site.

7. Retention

Account data is kept while your account is active. Deleted accounts are tombstoned; ledger, rights, licensing, moderation, payout, and attribution records are retained as required by law or to honour licences other users rely on, under a pseudonymized identity. Audit logs are retained for security and legal purposes. Rejected generations and abandoned uploads are removed under lifecycle rules.

8. Your rights

You may access and correct your personal data, export your data, withdraw consent where processing is based on consent, and delete your account. Requests are handled through Account settings or by writing to our Data Protection Officer. We respond within the timelines required by applicable law.

9. Security

We use encryption in transit and at rest, hashed passwords, least-privilege access, audit logging, rate limiting, and independent backups with restore drills. No system is perfectly secure; we will notify you and the relevant authority of a breach where the law requires.

10. Children

The Service is not directed to children under 13. Content above Minna General may require age assurance. Parental controls and household PINs are available.

12. Changes

We will announce material changes in the Service before they take effect and keep prior versions available on request.
