Minna no Anime

How it works

A studio built the way anime is actually made.

Minna no Anime separates the work into connected workspaces, the way a real production separates world, story, shots, edit, and delivery. Every workspace reads and writes the same project, the same media library, and the same version history.

The bundled sample

Ame no Hi, the short every account opens with.

Every new account opens a complete sample production: two characters with model sheets, two locations, a style guide, a four-beat story with an eligible divergence point, six storyboarded shots, and an editable timeline. This is its art.

World

The production bible

Everything that must stay consistent lives here as a versioned entity, never as a paragraph pasted into a prompt.

  • Characters

Name, aliases, role, age category, pronouns, biography, personality, relationships, knowledge scope, front/side/back turnarounds, expressions, outfits, stable appearance description, negative constraints, voice reference, and a rights record for any uploaded likeness.

  • Locations

Establishing views, time-of-day variants, lighting, weather, palette, spatial rules, persistent objects, available camera positions, continuity notes, and an ambient sound profile.

  • Art style

Style description, palette, line quality, shading, motion language, lens and camera rules, 16:9 or 9:16 safe areas, positive examples, explicit exclusions, and tested per-engine presets.

  • Lore and rules

Timeline, factions, magic or technology rules, terminology, canon facts, hard constraints generation must never contradict, and per-character knowledge scope so nobody knows the future.

  • Cast voices

A provider-neutral voice identity with an approved sample, pronunciation rules, languages, and a consent record, mapped to provider voices so a performance never silently changes.

  • Versions that never rewrite the past

Every accepted segment records the exact version of each entity it used. Updating a design does not change older shots; you migrate selected future shots deliberately.

Story

Outline, structure, and the story graph

Film, series, or live. Seasons and episodes are optional labels, so a short serial is never forced into a television structure.

  • Structure

Project → seasons → episodes → scenes → shots for series; one continuous timeline with optional acts for film.

  • Story graph

Beats and chapters as nodes with canonical edges, eligible divergence points, and narrative state snapshots that track who is alive, where, and what they know.

  • Glossary

Character names, invented terms, pronunciation guides, and protected lore terms shared by writing, prompting, captions, and dubbing.

  • Primary creative language

Canonical source text and translations are separate versioned records with their method and review state, so a translation never overwrites the original.

Shots

Shot by shot, quoted before it runs

Break scenes into shots. Generate storyboard and keyframe candidates in your delivery format. Approve a starting frame, optionally set an ending frame, and only then generate video.

  • Choose the engine per shot

A project has a default engine; you can override it per shot. The quote shows model, provider, region, resolution, duration, input mode, audio behavior, latency band, and the exact credit price before any funds are reserved.

  • Last-frame handoff

By default the next shot starts from the final frame of the previous accepted segment. Change camera, location, or outfit with a fresh keyframe when you want a cut.

  • Honest input modes

Some engines cannot mix first/last-frame mode with reference mode in one request. The orchestrator picks one, tells you which, and records why in the generation record.

  • Full generation history

Provider, model, version, parameters, references, seed when supported, the exact prompt sent, usage, and the credits reserved and captured, for every attempt.

Engines are production policies. Retail credit prices are set by a versioned price book and are decoupled from provider list prices.

Edit

A non-destructive timeline that runs on your laptop

Trims, reorders, captions, and level changes are metadata. The application never rewrites your source video. Proxies decode locally; the cloud stays the source of truth for versions.

  • Assembly editing

Trim, split, reorder, duplicate, replace, disable; a small set of transitions; crop and reframe inside your aspect ratio; volume, mute, and fades; captions, title cards, simple overlays, and credits; still holds and short loops.

  • Replace without collateral cost

Replacing a segment creates a new version and warns about downstream continuity. It never spends credits regenerating later segments unless you ask.

  • Local preview

540p or 720p proxies, decoded only near the playhead, with an adaptive quality ladder under memory, battery, or thermal pressure.

  • Owner-only masters

Only an authorized owner export session can retrieve source-quality assets. Publishers receive only the derivative rights the owner grants.

Publish

Show the world without showing the workspace

A showcase page is a snapshot of explicitly selected, already reviewed assets. Publishing a new project version never silently changes an existing page.

  • Showcase pages

Title, logline, cover, teaser, selected stills, character and world information, progress summary, content level and descriptors, attribution, and a generation disclosure.

  • Social clips

Pick a range, choose a versioned preset for YouTube, TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, X, Snapchat, Threads, LinkedIn, or Pinterest, reframe to 16:9 or 9:16, add captions and cards, review rights, and download.

  • Share links

Stable links with referral attribution, social cards, and the device share sheet. No account connections are required.

  • Release options

Free previews, free viewing, or supporter-gated access per episode, chapter, or film, with time windows such as supporter early access. Subscription and paid access open with the viewing-revenue program.

Collaboration

Public does not mean editable

Visibility, collaboration permission, and storyline-continuation licensing are three separate controls.

  • Roles

Owner, producer, editor, publisher, writer, contributor, moderator, viewer. Direct storyline editing is invitation-only and starts after acceptance.

  • Contribution and review

Public users may submit proposals or licensed assets when policy allows. Acceptance is an explicit event that activates the license; submission alone grants nothing.

  • Collaborators keep copyright

An accepted contribution grants the project owner a permanent broad license to edit, adapt, publish, and continue it. The collaborator can reuse their work elsewhere unless a separate agreement says otherwise.

A new account opens a locally editable sample that requires no credits: play it, change a beat, swap a keyframe, trim a segment, and start your own world.
